Today is National Pancake Day. Because . . . well, as far as we can tell, because IHOP said so seven years ago. But at least they back it up: If you go to IHOP today, from 7:00 A.M. to 10:00 P.M., you get one free short stack of pancakes.
It's actually to raise awareness and money for the Children's Miracle Network hospitals. You're encouraged to make a voluntary donation while you're there, and last year they pulled in $3 million.
