Webster Woman Charged With Robberies

Monroe County deputies have charged a Webster woman in connection with a Penfield robbery, and Webster Police expect to file charges in connection with other hold-ups. Deputies say they were called to a robbery at a Pizza Hut in Penfield that happened late Saturday night. They say that 55 year old Barbara Cotie went into the restaurant at 1960 Empire Blvd., and demanded money from a male victim while she pointed a pistol grip shotgun at him. He gave her a small amount of cash. Deputies say that Cotie then looked for the store manager and the victim ran to an Appleebee’s restaurant to call 911. Cotie left the area in a car but was then stopped by a Webster Police officer on Ridge Road near Hatch Road. She is also wanted in connection with a robbery of a Mark’s Pizzeria in Webster last week, and with an attempted robbery at Kittleberger Florist on North Avenue late Saturday afternoon. She was ordered held in county jail on 50-thousand dollars bail or 100-thousand dollars bond. Webster Police say that a search warrant used at Cotie's residence turned up items taken during a Webster robbery and another in Walworth, in Wayne County. [MyDriveFM.com]
