I hope that you are somehow beginning to enjoy the holidays as the country deals with the tragedy from Connecticut last week.  The stories from the bravery shown at the school in CT last week are amazing and many families were spared even more tragedy thanks to the efforts of teachers and first responders on the school grounds.

While many families can count their blessings now, here are some gentlemen who can really be thankful as we approach Christmas:

>> Merritt Rahn and Alan Hevesi: these two former big shots were both released from prison Wed. morning after serving time for corruption while in office, Rahn as Chief of Police in Greece and Hevesi as New York State Comptroller.  Ironic that they both received their holiday freedom from jail on the same day.

>> Mark Zuckerberg: the founder of Facebook just gave a holiday donation of $500 million in Facebook stock to the Silicon Valley Foundation, based where FB is headquartered in California.  A very generous act on his part but it makes me feel slightly cheap when I search for old clothes to donate for a year-end tax write-off to charity.

>> Antonio Perez: somehow this man still has a job as CEO of Kodak at the holiday season after all the failed strategies that he has endorsed that have ended up in losses of jobs, pensions, insurance and self confidence for too many.  Now that Kodak has announced the sale of approximately $525 million in patents to companies like Apple, Google and Facebook, hopefully the company can re-emerge from bankruptcy early in 2013. The problem with that is then Perez will be eligible to obtain million$ in bonu$es for the successful end of bankruptcy.  Others have lost plenty while he still stands to gain more wealth....unbelievable!

These four guys have lots to be thankful for. I hope you do as well.  I'll post what I am thankful for during these holidays soon, but for now, I wish your family the best holiday season ever, safety for all (including our first responders and military in uniform) and to all a MERRY CHRISTMAS!
