You can feel fall in the air, right?  Since the Weather Channel is predicting a winter with "better-than-average" snowfall for the northeast, we better take advantage of all the fall fun around this wknd. before the white stuff takes over. 

>> The Fairport Oktoberfest kicks in starting Fri. @ 4 at Fairport Junction.  If you like the music of the Dave Matthews Band, check out one of the area's best DMB tribute bands Big Eyed Phish in the heated tent Fri., and on Sat. one of my faves Jumbo Shrimp plays the tent.

>> The ArtWalk Extension gets its public unveiling in the city Fri. night.  Check out the fresh new area (including a 27 foot steel sculpture) between the Memorial Art Gallery on University Ave. up to Village Gate Square on N. Goodman St.

>> In Honeyoe Falls it's the Autumn Festival of Ales at the firemen's field on Monroe St. Sat. from 1-5p to benefit Mercy Flight.

>> Enjoy the fall colors along the mighty Genesee at the Rochester River Romance all wknd.

>> Take the family out in the country to take in the harvest fun. Try out Verhulst Haunted Hayride in Spencerport for a real taste of halloween fun.

>> I'm going to show some love to Brockport Fri. night by hitting up Mitch's C&S Saloon.  It's been a long, sad week out on route 19 and all our best to everybody at BSU.
