Soundgarden have unveiled the video for their new single By Crooked Steps, which was directed by none other than Dave Grohl.
The video shows the so-called 'Crooked Steps gang', aka Soundgarden, tearing around LA on Segways while being pursued by a cop who turns out to be Deadmau5. Grohl also came up with the concept for the video.
Discussing what drew him to the project, Grohl said: "I had an idea. I got a copy of the record and the third song By Crooked Steps was a signature, instantly recognisable Soundgarden song."
By Crooked Steps is taken from King Animal, Soundgarden's first album in over 15 years, which came out last November. The band are currently touring the US in support of the record.
Meanwhile, Dave Grohl has recently unveiled his first feature-length directorial effort. Sound City, his documentary about the famous LA recording studios of the same name, premiered earlier this month at the Sundance Film Festival in Utah.
To celebrate the film's premiere, Grohl assembled a supergroup featuring famous musicians who have recorded at the studio over the years, including Nirvana's Krist Novoselic and Pat Smear and Stevie Nicks from Fleetwood Mac. The supergroup gave their debut performance at Sundance and Grohl has since revealed he is planning Sound City Players shows "all over the world".
